HeadStart - 'Word of His Righteousness' Part 2

Romans 1:17 'For in the "Gospel a righteousness” which God ascribes is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed through the way of faith that arouses to more faith]. As it is written, The man who through faith is just and upright shall live and shall live by faith. [Hab. 2:4.]'

Gentlemen/Ladies!

The Gospel of Christ is the “Gospel” of Righteousness as much as it is “Gospel of Life” and “Gospel of Grace” and all are manifested by faith “of” the Son of God (Galatian 2:20) and by personal relationship God 2 Peter 1:3.

Now that’s the “Target Operating Model” and we’ve got to gradually build up to it. If you can lay hold of this revelation and live the life aforementioned in the above revelatory “Target Operating Model”, then you have transcended from being a child (Babe- toddler) to be a Son (Adult) in Christ.

Just for the record and the most recent audience in the group, the topic of focus remains the “Message (or Gospel) of Christ “.

A Christian is not only required to have absolute clarity and persuasion but to walk in the conscious possession of the Gospel (Message) of Christ to effectively be a “Witness to Christ’s life” and for “Witnessing Christ” implying experience and promoting respectively.

This Gospel (Good news, Message or simply "Word") have been committed to our hands after the recreation experience or rather being “ Born Again” (2 Cor 5:17-21) and are generically encapsulated under the below broad categories.

  1. Word of Life (1 John 1:1, Acts 5:20)
  2. Word of his Righteousness Heb 5:13
  3. Word of his Grace Acts 20:32, Acts 14:3)

We have shared significantly on the “Word of Life” and have begun exploring the “ Word of His Righteousness”

In the most recent headStart we established:

When a Man believes the message of Christ and confesses HIS Lordship, he is not only made right with God, but brought before God and made the “Rightness” of God.

In other words, being given the “Gift of Righteousness” is a means to being made the “Righteousness of God”.

Today’s highlight

Ephesians 4:21-24: 'If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. '

Notice: "That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man"

Hang On! I thought the “Old Man” is dead by that I mean literarily and allegorically dematerialised – Can’t be any more dead than that.

Romans 6:6 'Knowing this, that our "Old man” is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin."

That's it, confirmed dead! Crucified with Christ.

What then was or is Paul addressing?

Hold that thought for minute!

Again Notice: "That ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness."

Hang On! I thought that we are new creations…

Literarily new specifies of being.

2 Corinthians 5:17 'Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.'

That's it, confirmed New Man! Resurrected with Christ.

What then was or is Paul addressing?

Here it is!

Ephesians 4:23 'And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

Ah Ah!

You need to change your Mindset, thinking and consciousness to manifest the “New Man” and de-manifest appearances of the Old Man.

You see, a Man is a spirit, he possesses a Soul (Mind) and lives in a body 1 Thessalonians 5:23.

When a Man/Woman give his/her life to Christ and is reborn, it is his/her Spirit that is reborn (born again)

That’s why Jesus said:

John 3:6 (NIV) 'Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.

The Soul (Mind) retains memory of the old life style and needs to be supplanted with the image of the new Man in Christ.

Your Soul is the gateway or conduit for the inherent Spirit life and to manifest it in the flesh.

Romans 12:2 (KJV) 'And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.'

Transformation occurs by the renewing of the Mind.

This transformation is to your greater benefit.

It allows you to leverage the inherent Spirit life and manifest it in the flesh.

In other words, your inheritance largely depends on your transformation.

I have deliberately picked this angle on the topic of righteousness for obvious reason of Spiritual productivity.

Now let’s examine the context in Romans 6:6-10 how Jesus Didn’t Just Die and Resurrect. He also Ascended and was Seated! Same with us since we were with Him through the entire process

And then Romans 6:11 concludes:

Romans 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

You see the term “Reckon” is an accounting language in the Greek and we will discuss more on Saturday if you’d be present at the gathering but for now and all intent purpose, it implies to “conclude” or “account” yourself as something, even though there may not be immediate evidence.

So, lets reinstate that verse accordingly:

Romans 6:11 KJV Likewise reckon (Mentally "conclude" or "account") ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

This is an acclamation and declaration of faith to manifest God kind of Righteousness from your “New Man” – your recreated Spirit.

That's exactly the message of Romans 1:17'

Romans 1:17 AMPC' For in the "Gospel a righteousness" which God ascribes is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed through the way of faith that arouses to more faith]. As it is written, The man who through faith is just and upright shall live and shall live by faith. [Hab. 2:4.]'

Righteousness is revealed by post recreation faith.

Righteousness is both right standing to be brought before God and to be recreated in the Righteousness of God. i.e. two edged sword definition.

Both pre and post recreation requires faith and that’s why KJV version uses the term from faith to faith.

Romans 1:17 (KJV ) 'For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.'

Righteousness is revealed (MANAIFESTED) by post recreation "faith"

That’s why Paul said Galatians 2:20 'I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. '

Notice: The life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God. Now you need to add something else to your faith to become productive spiritually and that is “personal relationship” which produces the fruits of inherent righteousness 2 Peter 1:1-8

The Gospel of Christ is the "Gospel" of Righteousness as much as it is "Gospel of Life" and “Gospel of Grace” and all are manifested by faith of the Son of God (Galatian 2:20) and by personal relationship 2 Peter 1:3.

I am goanna have to conclude here for the time being and will be progressed during the gathering and follow on “HeadStart”.

Future highlight:

Inputted Sin versus Inputted Righteousness

  1. Inputted Sin versus Inputted Righteousness
  2. Inherited Sin versus Inherited Righteousness.
  3. Personal Sin versus Personal Righteousness
  4. Eternal Death versus Eternal life (Reconciled)

I am so excited and overflowing with Joy at the thought of meeting some of you again this coming Saturday. Glory to God!

I affirm, I am the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, Hebrews 1:3

Now that’s a declaration of faith!

Pls look out for further weekly exposition on related subject.
